Matija Lozej is an economist at the Central Bank of Ireland, working mainly on the DSGE-related issues of the Macro Modelling Project. He holds a PhD from the University of Amsterdam. Prior to joining the Central Bank of Ireland, he worked in the Analysis and Research Division at the Bank of Slovenia and at University of Primorska, Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Information Technologies. 

His research interests are mainly in macroeconomics, where he has worked on DSGE modelling investigating effects of labour market frictions and fiscal policy issues. Empirically, he has investigated the effects of financial market frictions and monetary policy.

He is interested in collaboration on all of the above topics.
